Tom Clancy Ghost Recon Future Soldier

1

First person shooter games like Call of Duty has allowed you to customize your guns for quite some time now, but it was usually just add-on accessories like red dots and grenade launchers. Red Storm Entertainment showed a demo of the Virtual Gunsmith feature in the new Tom Clany’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier video game at E3 which allows you to make external and internal modifications to your weapons. You can make over 20 million unique weapon configurations. Everything from your gas systems to side rails can be changed. You can make weapons specifically for close combat or long range use as well. Check it out in the video above.

Giant Collection of Gun Manuals Online

5

Some gun owners keep their gun manuals stored and organized so they always know where to find them, and some probably have never even looked at their gun owners manual (I’m guilty of this sometimes). If you’ve lost your owners manual, of if you bought your gun used and it didn’t come with one, this collection of gun manuals probably has just what you’re looking for. Its collection of gun manuals is quite vast, it has manuals from obscure gun models all the way to the CMP M1 Garand.

Here is another source for gun manuals in case you wanted them in paperback.

Friendly Fire During the Philippine-American War

1

Someone needs to tell these guys a thing or two about trigger discipline, or else this really could have been a case of friendly fire. Seeing as there’s a bottle of booze (probably a native made rum) I’m assuming they thought taking this picture was a good idea at the time. All kidding aside, the above photograph was taken between 1899 and 1900 during the Philippine-American war and is from the Manila Branch Studio of Japanese photographer T. Enami.

Bleeding Zombie Targets

3

Everyone knows zombies are a real threat to our society, just ask the CDC, and when the living dead rise up you don’t want to be caught unprepared. You’ve stockpiled the ammo, debated on the forums endlessly about whether an AK-47 or AR-15 is the optimal zombie slaughtered gun and you’ve even read the Zombie Survival Guide. But how will you fair when the zombies are actually pounding on your door? Are you going to be prepared for the virus infected blood and gore your .223 ammo will spill on your porch? (or will you be using 7.62×39? That’s a debate for another day)

That’s a lot of ammo

To apologize for the gun enthusiasts nightmare we posted, here’s a picture of a ton of ammo at a military depot overseas. It’s not as big as my ammo stockpile, but it’s close!

CCI AR Tactical .22 Long Rifle Ammo

With the increased popularity of AR-15 style .22 LR rifles, CCI has introduced ammunition made specifically for them. CCI’s new AR Tactical .22 LR ammo features a 40 grain lube-coated copper-plated solid bullet with a rounded nose to help with reliable feeding. CCI’s new ammo would also work well with other semi-auto .22 LR rifles, especially if it’s picky with the .22 LR it likes. The CCI AR Tactical .22 LR ammo is available in 375 round boxes at $20 a box.

This year at the 10th annual Military and Police Sniper World Cup Chinese snipers Xu Bo and Qing Feng came in first and second place in four out ot five events. Martin Kunz of Austria came in third with nineteen countries total participating. Teams from Belarus, Britain, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Switzerland, USA, Ukrain and Vietmam also participated in the Sniper World Cup. It’s not known what rifle China used at this years competition, last year they used Remington rifles and also placed third overall.

Too bad we won’t see these guy in the new Red Dawn! (That was a jab at MGM for changing the invaders from Chinese soldiers to North Korean soldiers).

Not my first choice for a tat, but at least it’s not on her lower back.
