Dana White’s Poor Trigger Discipline

UFC President Dana White Tweeted the above picture today, it looks like the coaches on this seasons The Ultimate Fighter get to lob grenades during their coaches challenge. Must be nice.

You know what’s not so nice? Mr. White’s poor trigger discipline. He claims to be a pro gun guy and a gun owner, but he goes and bans gun related sponsors from the UFC and shows the world how not to pose with a firearm. I sure hope it was unloaded too. Stay classy Dana.

Is Glock Making Grenades Now?

Not that we’re aware of, the picture above is from TIME Magazine’s Special Ops issue. It looks like a unknowing (or trolling) graphic designer at TIME used the script from a Glock 22 and slapped it on a grenade. It’s good to know the fact checkers at TIME magazine are hard at work.

.22LR Ammo Dispenser

Here’s an awesome idea, the kind that makes you say “why didn’t I think of that?!” If you have an old motion-sensative candy dispenser laying around this is a great way to store all your bulk ammo. Check it out in action below:

Ouch, but if you look on the bright side, it’s a great excuse to build an SBR!

Secret Service Switching to DAK Sig P229s

2

sig-p229-dak

The Secret Service has been in some hot water lately, but here’s something in my opinion is even more scandalous than their sexcapades with Colombian prostitutes. What can be worse you ask? Well the Secret Service is moving away from the tried and true Sig P229 chambered in .357 SIG and a DA/SA trigger to P229s with the Sig “Double Action Kellerman”, or DAK trigger.

What’s so bad about that you ask? It’s pretty much a double-action-only setup that if you ask me, is pretty awful and a feature I really don’t care for. Sure Sig says their DAK features a consistent 6.5lb trigger pull. But having the ability to shoot in single-action is a feature I really like about most Sigs. I hope whoever made the choice to make the switch at the Secret Service gets forced out along with the guys involved in the Colombian prostitute scandal.

On paper Russia’s T-50 Fifth generation fighter jet seems pretty impressive, but it looks like they won’t be entering service until 2035.

How Kalashnikovs Are Made At Izhmash

2

In the wake of reports of the Russian state-owned firearms maker Izhmash going bankrupt, it seems like former Soviet propaganda ministers are already hard at work trying to make it seem like everything is fine and dandy at Izhmash. English Russia, a blog about all things Russian pretty much, posted this article about how Kalashnikovs are made. While it’s pretty interesting to see how guns are made at the historical complex, is it more than just coincidence that this was posted after it has been confirmed that Izhmash has gone bankrupt? If Izhmash is to stay afloat it seems like they need to get away from their Soviet-era manufacturing mindset, they can’t survive on military contracts anymore.

Firearm and ammo failures are never fun, a member over on gunnit posted about a few Remington .45ACP case neck failures that caused a few minor injuries.

Anyone else experience any close calls?

Oh Geeze, ATI’s Zombie Stalker For The Remington 870

This isn’t a joke, although I wish it was. I’ve ranted about all the dumb zombie gun products in the past, so I won’t push the issue for now. But really, a zombie shotgun stock?
